What Is Diabetes Mellitus Type 2?

Diabetes mellitus type 2 is a condition where our body organ called pancreas does produce insulin hormone but does not use it properly. In this state, most of the foods turns into glucose or sugar and our body glucose level goes higher than usual. In this condition, pancreas first make enough insulin but does not use it properly but slowly pancreas does not able to make enough insulin to maintain blood glucose in our body, so most of the foods converted in our body as a glucose or sugar. Diabetes mellitus type 2 is the most common form of diabetes. It affected almost 70%-90% of diabetic people.

When your blood glucose level goes higher than 72-99 mg/dL as fasting and 140 mg/dL as non-fasting (2 hours after taken foods) continuously then diagnosis will be diabetes.
