What Is Diabetes?

Diabetes is a condition where our body organ called pancreas does not produce enough insulin hormone, which turn our foods into energy. In this state, most of the foods turns into glucose or sugar and our body glucose level goes higher than usual. In this condition, our body cannot make or use our own insulin, so most of the foods converted in our body as a glucose or sugar. It is an autoimmune reaction in our body which causes this disease.

Normal glucose level of a human body is 72-99 mg/dL fasting and 140 mg/dL non-fasting as per the medical guidelines but when our blood glucose ranges higher than that level continuously its call diabetes or blood sugar or hyperglycemia.

It can affect at any age of people but mostly developed in children and young adult people. The exact cause are not known, it might be an autoimmune reaction in our body.
